Come learn with the Best!
It's time for you to join the outrageous fun of this fast growing, extreme watersport. Kiteboarding combines the natural feel of sailing, windsurfing and surfing with the exhilaration of wakeboarding and parasailing. Why is it becoming so popular? Not only is it incredibly fun, but it's easy to learn with just a few lessons. Nothing compares to the feeling of flying across the water under wind power and boosting huge jumps with only the flick of your wrist. Kiteboarding........a 100% all natural high!
Kiteboarding offers an endless variety of riding options: flat water, wakestyle tricks, surf, sliders, course racing, hooked in, unhooked and more. That's just on the water. You can expand your riding to include snowkiting (an all natural lift ticket), kite buggying, and land boarding. The variety of riding styles and locations is virtually endless.
Location Let’s face it, $100 per hour is a lot of money to spend on kiteboarding lessons. During the average kiteboarding lesson you will spend a lot of your valuable time wading in the water: out to a safe launch site, then every time you try to ride, wading back against the wind where you started; and then you get to wade back to shore. All of this wading is not only time consuming, it’s exhausting! Many instructors break up water lessons into 2 hour chunks, simply because the student is worn out after 1 1/2 to 2 hours of dragging themselves and the equipment in the water. During a typical KS lesson you get a Sea Doo ride to and from the launch site. Then we follow behind you and ferry you back upwind when you’re ready, so you get to rest and relax, not work. You get to spend your time and energy learning to fly the kite and ride the board! More time on the board with real time headset instruction provides faster, more efficient learning. You will likely finish a KS water lesson with 2 to 4 times more board riding experience, over a non-watercraft supported lesson. We want to ensure you get your money’s worth!
Everyone wants to WOW the crowd at the beach with big air jumps and tricks. However, it takes training and practice to handle a kite in a crowd of swimmers and beach-goers. When the wind is good for lessons, all the good walk-up sites are crowded with kiteboarders, instructors, and students. Go to the Skyway Bridge or out to Fort Desoto on a windy day and imagine trying to learn in that mass of people.
